It’s that time of year again, and applications for the 2025 TownsWeb Digitisation Grant are now officially open!
The Digitisation Grant offers an exciting opportunity for archives, museums, and libraries looking to digitise their collections. Whether you're aiming to protect a fragile archive or make a valuable collection more accessible and discoverable, now is the perfect time to take action.
We’re incredibly proud of the TWA Digitisation Grant and all it has achieved over the years. With over £150,000 awarded to more than 120 organisations, the grant’s legacy is a testament to the value of digitisation, helping to preserve heritage archives and deepen engagement with local communities.

The Match Funding Pot continues to be popular, so we have decided to run it again.
Following the announcement of the three grant winners at the ARA Conference on 28th August, the funding pot will officially open on 29th August. From this point, all remaining applicants will be eligible to claim up to £1,000 in matched funding—doubling any amount they contribute themselves.
However, once the pot is empty, the opportunity closes—so be sure to act quickly to take advantage of this fantastic offer!
Simply check that your project is eligible, download an application form, set aside some time to tell us about your collection and your plans for the future, and submit. That’s all there is to it!
We wish you the best of luck!
