Our annual Halloween event brought plenty of spooky spirit this year, hosted by our CEO Paul Sugden (aka. The Joker).
Colleagues and guests joined the Zoom call from our main office, our London location, and from across the UK and the US, making it a truly global celebration.
The event featured two fascinating guest speakers, a three-round quiz, and a lively fancy dress competition — all packed into one entertaining hour!
A huge thank you to our special guests:
-
Holly Burrows (The Cartoon Museum) – “Ghost Stories from The Roald Dahl Museum: The Witching Hour”.
-
Steven Kerr (The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh) – “The Ratho Murderer: Edinburgh’s Last Public Execution”.
Their captivating talks set the perfect Halloween mood and gave us all a mix of chills and curiosity.
You can watch both of their presentations on demand, below:
Congratulations to Lucy McCaul, Special Collections & Archives Coordinator at the University of Essex, and Steven Kerr, who tied for the top score in our quiz!
And of course, well done to Josh Morley-Smith and Zane D’hara, our fancy dress competition winners - your creativity and commitment to costume were unmatched!
Finally, we’re thrilled to share that the event also raised £305 for the Archives & Records Association charity, supporting archivists experiencing hardship.
Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and helped make this Halloween one to remember!
